Cepaea vindobonensis is a species of medium-sized air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod in the family Helicidae. The average snail size is about 0.8 inch or 20 mm.

"Capaea Vindobonensis" - A Couple of Pet Snails (2 pcs)
Entire Carpathian region, eastern Alps, Balkans to Greece (Thessalía) and N Black Sea region, Moldavia, Crimea, N Caucasus, in the north to Sachsen and Poland to the Baltic Sea, isolated at Donaustauf near Regensburg
Shell whitish or dull yellow, with up to 5 colour bands, the upper two are usually weak, 5.5-6 whorls, aperture very oblique, margin brown at the columella to almost white near the suture, umbilicus closed.
Differs from the other Cepaea species in its larger size and a more prominently ribbed shell. Colour less intensive than in C. nemoralis.Size: 17-21 x 20-25 mm
Among shrubs, in open lands and rocky slopes, plains and warm hills, only occasionally in human settlements, in Poland mostly at S exposed and weakly vegetated valley slopes. In S Bulgaria up to 1600 m.
Life span perhaps around 3 years.
